Introduction to the Nail Artistry Certification
This nail artistry certification comprises of twenty five informative modules that takes around twenty hours to complete. The course is accompanied with a host of instructional videos, helpful illustrations, how to instructions, advice and more.
During the course you will have access to online support as you study the introduction to nails, how to start your own business, nail art, marketing your business and so much more.

I was a little sceptical about doing an online course as thought it wouldn’t be very in depth, but how wrong I was!

After much searching, I stumbled across this online course which sounded perfect for what I wanted and was available at a very affordable cost. This is the first time I have taken an online course, so wasn’t sure what to expect or if my money was going to be well spent.
The course is great, it was very easy to follow with simple, clear instructions and the additional use of video demonstrations that I found extremely helpful. It was handy to be able to print off all the course modules to keep for future reference and nice to receive a certificate upon completion.

Who can take the course?
Anyone who has an interest in gaining a greater understanding of this subject is encouraged to take the course. There are no entry requirements to take the course.

What is the structure of the course?
The course is broken down in to 25 individual modules. Each module takes between 10 and 90 minutes to study. Although you are free to spend as much or as little time as you feel necessary on each module, simply log in and out of the course at your convenience. At the end of each module there is a 5 question test to ensure that you have fully understood all of the training material included within. You must get at least 3/5 of the questions on the test correct before you can progress to the next module.

Where / when can I study the course?
You can study the course any time you like. Simply log in and out of the web based course as often as you require. The course is compatible with all computers, tablet devices and smart phones so you can even study while on the move!

Is there a test at the end of the course?
Once you have completed all of the modules there is a 30 (multiple choice) question test. The questions will be on a range of topics found within the modules. The test, like the course, is online and can be taken a time and location of your choosing.

What happens if I fail the test?
If you don’t pass the test first time you will get further opportunities to take the test again after further study. There are no extra fees to pay.

When will I receive my certificate?
Once you have completed your test you can log in to your account and download / print your certificate any time you need it. If you would prefer us to post you a certificate there will be an admin charge of £10.

How can I pay?

How long does it take to complete the online Nail Technician Diploma Course?
We estimate that the course will take between 15 and 20 hours to complete in total, plus an additional 30 minutes for the end of course test.

How long after payment can I start the course?

Who can take the Nail Technician Diploma Award (NTDA) course?
Anyone who has an interest in becoming a nail technologist (whether employed or self-employed) is encouraged to take the course.

Do I need insurance to be a nail technician?
It is not necessary to have public liability insurance to be a nail tech, however it would be wise to get some insurance to cover you for all eventualities. In order to get insurance you will also need to take a classroom based NVQ or equivalent.
